Biography

Deepak Sadagopan serves as Business Lead at Risant Health, where he is accountable for expanding adoption of the value-based platform, which brings together clinical knowledge, technology, and services designed to support health systems’ ability to deliver value-based care in multipayer, multiprovider environments.

Sadagopan joined Risant Health from Providence, a nonprofit health system serving the Western U.S., where he led care transformation initiatives as chief operating officer, population health. Sadagopan has more than two decades of experience spanning technology, health care services and economics, having served in leadership roles at Siemens, Quest Diagnostics, McKesson and Edifecs. He has expertise in improving the performance of value-based care arrangements, developing effective clinically integrated networks, and strategically deploying artificial intelligence tools.

Deepak is a leading voice in ensuring value-based care and Health IT policy initiatives enable equitable access to health care. He serves on the steering committee for HL7’s DaVinci Accelerator to guide value-based care collaboration between payers and providers, and on the Department of Health and Human Services’ ONC FAST National Steering Committee to accelerate interoperability data standards. Additionally, he is a sought-after thought leader, frequently writing for peer-reviewed publications, being interviewed by business media, and speaking at health care forums.

Deepak earned his master’s degree in healthcare delivery and economics from Dartmouth College. He also has a master’s degree in engineering and data science from the University of Connecticut and has completed an executive management program with the MIT Sloan School of Management.
